Welcome

Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

Petite Suites Musical Motif Watercolors by Bertie Brown

Petite Suite
original watercolor w/cello layer: 6" x 9"
Petite Suite
original watercolor w/trumpet player: 6" x 9"
Petite Suite
original watercolor w/violin player: 6" x 9"

the violin's a diva girl
when bowed she lets her notes unfurl
when plucked
her notes are quite abrupt
and when she’s played her last hurrah
she bows and takes two curtain calls!

Petite Suite
orignal watercolor w/horn player: 6" x 9"

A Mellow Fellow
The French horn’s such a classy fellow
When played he sings a tune so mellow
When muted
A new sound’s substituted
And when there’s nothing left to play
He simply packs himself away
