Welcome

Welcome to my blog where you can view a sampling of my watercolor paintings and discover why for me, Art Is Instrumental. These, as well as many more in my studio, are for sale and looking for good homes!

Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

Piano Ma'am Musical Motif Watercolors by Bertie Brown

Knitter Kitty
original watercolor w knitter, kitten: 7" x 11"
The Soloist
original: 7" x 10"

Piano Ma'am
original  watercolor piano player: 7" x 10"

the Piano-forte
is high on my list
of things I should try
before I am missed
but how in the world
could my fingers and toes
work all of those keys
and pedals of gold???
I can’t even think
of reading bass clef
‘cause treble takes all
 the brains I’ve got left
so maybe I’ll just
be happy that I
was suitably good
playing horn while I could
