To sit behind a sea

Of self-important strings

They chuckle to think

That skinny black sticks,

are in the thick of it

yet they have a way

of playing that makes

the strings settle down

and good music abounds!

his technical ways

like a peacock, he struts

all his finery stuff

and if that’s not enough

(he’ll wail in disgust)

 he departs in a huff

his penchant for flair

o’ershadows the pair

of fowl partners there

but he doesn’t care

and the star he won’t share

says he’s come a great way

from his conch shell-y brays!
