have simply deceased
and now we’ve been warned
our July Fourth is scorned

'twas time for a hike
and take in the sight
of MiddleCreek geese
before they take flight
seems they like the cold
‘though this winter’s plight
had less bite, I’m told
(I’m sure “they” are right)
but winter it is
and snowgeese, not me
like cold weather, see
it’s summer I miss
but they don't agree
