Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

Beach Music Watercolor Still Life by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Bertie Brown - Art is Instrumental

Beach Music

original watercolor still life with shells, bottles: 19"w x 17"h

Sophie Says

Hey there BB

What’s the matter

You look sadder

Than I’ve seen you

What can I do

To help you through

This long season, what’s the reason for this blue mood?

Well now, Sophie

It’s this painting

It is heading

For a shredding

I am shirking

Failure’s lurking

Apprehension brings congestion to my working...

Wait a minute

Let’s review it

There is something

Good that’s due it

Its got movement

That’s conducive

To the theme you’ve worked on, finish and include it!

Okay Sophie

I’m supposing

You’re proposing

I keep going

So I’ll suffer

While you buffer

All my fears of failing, now let’s start another!
