Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

Dunes Dance (Series) by Bertie Brown

Dunes Dance

Savvy Sophie

As Sophie and I contemplated

The harshly cold weather

We decided to stay in

We thought that would be better..

So we started to arobi-cise

Working out to the video

‘Classical Exercise’

We imagined pedaling to Savannah

As we don’t know anyone in Indiana..

With Sophie as navigator

And I, the pedal-ator

Off we did go

With those cold winds in tow

We stopped for some snacks

Got hiccups, had burps

And rested our sore backs

Then continued on our trip

Before we got too stiff.

Let’s visit Uncle and Aunt,

Take in the River Street Sweets

Manufacturing Plant,

Yummmm!

We’ll swing by the beach

Dip our toes in the water

And let out a ‘Screech’!

Those crazy sunbathers!

We better head home

Cause next we’ll see gators!

With Mom and Dad waiting

We pedal at top speed

We had quite an adventure

Sophie and I both agreed...
