Com-posers (Series) by Bertie Brown



A survey of stinging bees, on tiptoe

Sipping nectar, sneaking about

A bevy of ballerina butterflies, en-point

Nibbling coyly, wings stretched out,

While a frenzy of furtive goldfinches

Swoop down in full fury

Stripping petals, splitting seeds

With great flourish, greater flurry

Lustily filling up their bellies

In my backyard Sunflower Deli......
