Daisies parade

My poppies sing praise

Springtime, nature’s fling-time

“Neath a shy smiling sun

Nature’s prelude

To the deluge 

Of summer days soon to come...

Buttercup Days Ahead

Sophie and i 

are anxious time counters

of the weeks, days and hours

till summer’s sunflowers..

so we’re planning an event

to keep us content

a friendly picnic

in a meadow at six

where busy bees peer

over petals and cheer

their great luck at finding

a clover patch inviting

and birds by the throngs

 singing melodious songs

eye our buttercup bread

that keeps us well fed

this winsome, wondrous day

is coming our way

so join us, please do

we’ll be waiting there for you!

The French Conundrum

The French Horn is happy

Wherever it plays

From Woodwinds and Brass

To  the Strings with such class.

Yes, the instruments agree

It’s sound does so please.

And most of the time

The horn is quite amiable

But it can get unruly

And downright unplayable!
