Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

Instrumentally Correct Instrumental Watercolors by Daily Painter Bertie Brown

Instrumentally Correct
original instrumental watercolor w/horn, trobone, trumpet, piano, violin: 15" x 16"
way back in the day
when Sophie was a babe
I imagined that we
would be best friends indeed
she’d be 2, maybe 3
and I‘d be...well, older, you see
I pictured us this way
on an ordinary day:
painting trumpets
horns and ‘bones
with bright colors
hues and tones
wearing paint stained artsy shirts
laughing as we did our work
while my poems said all that
Sophie grew and that’s a fact
now we really paint and draw
thats what we like most of all
and we def’nitely agree
BFFs, we’ll always be!
