Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

Wagner's Violin Watercolor Still Life with Violin, Wagner Bust by Daily painter Bertie Brown - Art is Intrumental

Wagner's Violin

original still life with violin: 22" x 30

is Wagner’s violin

tuned to play his Lohengrin

could that horn a bit too small

belt out Siegfried’s famous call?

did he ever fret and worry

that his music wouldn’t curry

to his benefactors’ whims

casting poverty on him

heavens no

I don’t think so

as his storied life has shown
