Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

De-Composers Watercolor Dried Sunflowers by Pennsylvania Daily Painter Bertie Brown-Art is Instrumental

De-Composer

And Yet

My sunflower girlfriends

have taken their bows

the show has now closed

their reign at an end

the summer stage crew

is striking the sets

tearing down, sweeping up

not much left to do

cool winds are approaching

a new show’s in the wing

autumn’s edgier tone

and pride is encroaching

there’s a sharp dialogue

burnt sienna, cobalt blue

with a punchline, scarlet red

a biting monologue

I’m open, looking on

taking in the dry wit

yet wishing for just

one more summer song

  1. These are fabulous! Love the effects of the de-composer. Your words simply enhance as your colors play for the house.
