Accordion to My Sister Watercolors by Bertie Brown

Knitter Sitter                                    Accordion to My Sister

original watercolor knitter/ accordionist: 8" x 10"

my sister’s a knitter

a fine knitter sitter

she sits and she clicks

those long shiny sticks

coaxing mile after mile

of yarn into tricks

her magical styles

of socks called argyles

and mittens and vests

are simply the BEST

she expertly winds

these loops into gear

that keep us quite warm

during COLD winters here
