Methods and Madness

Sometimes I paint fast and loose

Other times quite controlled

The subject decides the method

But each work has the same goal:

A painting that is successful

And beautiful to behold!

The Spider Besider Watercolors by Bertie Brown

The Spider Besider
The Guest Request
original watercolor spider and snake" 9" x 12"

Sophie and I read
the book “Charlotte’s Web”
and we have a question
that’s been in our heads
the story goes thus:
a pig’s days are numbered
his time is soon up
it’s bacon for him
and pork chops well trimmed
his friend, Charlotte spider
and he reminisced,
a dark corner hider
and the pig she would miss
they thought up a way
this pig could be saved
could Charlotte the spider
convince his indictor
a clever wordsmith
Charlotte started a web,
spinning words, to wit,
 “some pig” it said
now everyone knows
how this story goes
the heartwarming end?
Charlotte saved her best friend
but we want to know
how a spider could spell
and though the pig lived
he never did tell!
so of course we would go

to her web to word show
