at the end of the day

i had but one thought

what happens to all

this work that i’ve wrought

‘twas always the best

of efforts i gave

my utmost, no less

and had some success

in music, of course

i’m wondering now

did it happen at all

if so, then how??

i gratefully bow

to Mozart and Bach

i painted to them,

and Beethoven, a lot

but what happens next?

i’ve time to fill

and miles to go

energy still

until, until....
