Sunflowers
Sienna Brown faces
Sporting golden sun bonnets
Reading Emily's perky poems
And Edna's soaring sonnets
Their leaves a canopy
Of swirling skirts, it seems to me 
and stems so tall and true
standing proud on high heeled shoe   
Ever lush, they selflessly 
Spill sweet nectar, share their seeds
With goldfinches, butterflies

And those busy bumble bees..
