my poppy crop
is decidedly not
happy ‘bout all
this rain that we’ve got
they’re bending right down
their heads to the ground
praying I s’pose
for a break in the clouds
and i have to say,
this just happens way
too much i declare
on many spring days
so let’s have detent
for my perky lot
rain, simply decease
desist and please STOP
and though this does not
have too much to do
with the painting up top
it's all that i've got!
