He wants to provide
His word says it’s so
but
if i do not learn
from my past mistakes
i thwart all the grace
and just run in place
yet
there is a rock
and a mercy seat
where grace is revealed
in humility
now
this cornerstone
it beckons to me
i bow myself down
and freely receive
