this wind that we’ve got
they’re bending right down
their heads to the ground
praying I s’pose
for a break in the clouds
and i have to say,
this just happens way
too much i declare
on many fall days
so let’s have detent
for my birdy lot
wind, cold weather cease
desist and please STOP!

i just want to know

hard work had a way
of keeping at bay
those inches that stay
in places that…hey!
i don’t like today
i’m feeling betrayed
hence this, my tirade
i cannot evade
old age, i’m afraid
this is my refrain
you’re young…i’ll explain
the fact does remain
